What's Included In a PMHI Panelized Building Kit
Pacific Modern Homes, Inc. (PMHI) designs and manufactures panelized wall sections and wood roof trusses. We package them with the materials needed to frame the shell of a home, barn, or garage. Every building kit includes Pre-Engineered Building Plans and a foundation design.
When your kit arrives at the job site, it includes three key documents:
- A Panelized Wall Plan shows where each numbered wall section goes.
- A Roof Truss Layout shows where each lettered truss goes.
- A Computerized Inventory itemizes the remaining materials and where they're used.
Note: Wall sections arrive with windows and exterior sheathing already factory installed. Depending on the plan and options, finished siding may also be pre-installed.

Domestic vs. Export Packages
PMHI provides two package types.
Domestic Packages are built for projects inside the United States.
Export Packages are built for projects outside the United States. The two differ in materials and documentation to meet each market's building requirements. Ask your dealer which package applies to your project.

Frequently Asked Questions
What's included in a PMHI building kit?
A PMHI kit includes pre-engineered plans, foundation design, factory-framed and numbered wall panels, roof trusses, windows, exterior doors, and the framing lumber and hardware needed to build the shell. See the full list above.
Does a PMHI kit include plumbing, electrical, or insulation?
No. Plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and insulation are finish items and are not included in the standard package. These are typically sourced through a local contractor.
What's the difference between a Domestic and an Export package?
A Domestic Package is built for U.S. projects. An Export Package is built for projects outside the U.S., with materials and documentation adjusted for that market.
Do I need a general contractor to build a PMHI kit?
Framing labor is available as an option in some locations, but site development, foundation work, and finish trades are not included and are typically coordinated by the owner-manager or a local contractor.
Are windows and doors already installed when the kit arrives?
Windows arrive factory installed with dual glazed vinyl frames. Exterior doors arrive prehung and fiberglass insulated, ready to set.
